Your friend is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. And what an extraordinary image of the spirits of Louise and Grace meeting up again in a beautiful "Grace-full" swirl of snow. When I try to imagine the afterlife, that's more like it, for sure. You've said this beautifully. It ...Wonderful! You've said this beautifully. It seems to me the people who use the Bible as a 2x4 (to borrow your words) always forget the bit about not judging. And I love the expression "spiritual bullying" -- that's it exactly! Once in college, just after my grandmother died, I had a Baptist tell me that I shouldn't expect to see her in heaven because she wasn't a Baptist. That's going to make for a very small community in the after life.

I had a very good friend, who died a few years ago, whose strongest belief was love. He was not a go-to-church kind of guy, and he wasn't the strictest adherer to the "rules", but I have felt him with me so many times when Dave has been struggling. At your mom's funeral, it was so quiet in the cemetery, then all of sudden there was a quick swirl of snow, and I've always felt as if that was your mom and Louise finding each other again. Love wins. You bet it does. Love, LeAnnklkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09220128701371538380noreply@blogger.com
